I fish a 50 mile stretch of the river severn, and this is the only stretch i catch salmon parr, iv been catching salmon parr in this stretch for 30 years. But it is better known for its big barble. Also in this video learn how to tell a salmon parr from a young trout?

After beginning the leapfrog chain down the Canal following a fruitless first 15 minutes, the first rod to be moved down was away and this little fish was on within two minutes, which once again proves the importance of location when predator fishing! If you are not on the fish, you won’t catch!
